Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner traveled to altitude in a specialized 3,000 lb capsule lifted by a helium filled envelope made of specialized plastic film. The helium filled balloon would eventually expand to a capacity of 30 Million cu ft and reach an altitude of 128,000 feet above the earth. His successful jump broke records for highest manned balloon flight, highest jump, and fastest free fall speed of 833.9 mph (1,342.8 km/h).
